JsonLink (jsonlink.io) is a web data API operated by Just Another App, LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("JsonLink", "we", "us"). JsonLink lets developers get structured data from public web pages — metadata, Markdown, screenshots, links and images — through an API key, a dashboard, free online tools and an MCP server.
This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with and the choices you have. It applies to the website, the dashboard, the API and the MCP server.
Summary
- We collect the data needed to create your account, run the API, bill paid plans and keep the service secure.
- If you sign in with Google, we receive only your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID.
- We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for advertising.
- You can ask us to export or delete your data at any time.
Information we collect
Account information
- Email sign-up: your name, email address, password (stored only as a one-way hash) and, if you provide it, your company or project name.
- Sign in with Google: see Information we receive from Google below.
- Your API key, the plan you are on and your account settings.
Billing information
Paid plans are processed by Stripe, our payment provider and Merchant of Record. Card details are entered on Stripe's pages and are never sent to or stored by JsonLink. We keep your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, plan and invoice records (amount, date and status).
API and service usage
- Request counts and credits used per day and per endpoint, rate-limit and quota events.
- The URLs you submit for processing and, for failed requests, the error, so we can investigate problems.
- Whether a request came from the MCP server or the REST API.
- Technical data such as IP address, approximate country and browser or client user agent.
Content we process
When you call the API we fetch the public web page at the URL you send and return the extracted data to you. Results are returned in the response and are not used for any other purpose. Screenshots are stored temporarily so you can download them and are deleted after 7 days.
Website data and cookies
- Session cookies to keep you logged in and protect your account.
- An attribution cookie (
jl_src, 90 days) that remembers the first page you visited, the referring website and campaign (utm) parameters, saved with your account when you sign up. - Analytics (Google Analytics and Mixpanel) to understand how the website and product are used. You can block these cookies in your browser settings without affecting the service.
- Anonymous runs of the free online tools are limited per IP address per day; we keep only daily counters for this.
Information we receive from Google
When you choose Sign in with Google, Google shares with us only the basic profile information covered by theopenid, email and profile scopes: your name, email address,profile picture and Google account ID. We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar or any other Google data.
We use this information only to:
- create your JsonLink account and sign you in;
- show your name and picture in the dashboard;
- send you service emails about your account, usage, credits and billing.
We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except the service providers listed below that help us run JsonLink. JsonLink's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to theGoogle API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can revoke JsonLink's access at any time from yourGoogle Account permissions, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data (see Your rights).
How we use information

- Understand which pages and features are used so we can improve the product.
We do not use your data to train AI models and we do not make automated decisions that have legal effects on you.
