Request body

Send a JSON body with Content-Type: application/json:

The full URL of the page to convert. Send it in the JSON body (or the query string).

Your API key, in the JSON body or the query string.

The URL you requested.

titlestring

Title of the extracted article or page.

languagestring

Detected language of the page, when available.

wordCountnumber

Approximate number of words in the Markdown.

markdownstring

The main content of the page as Markdown, without navigation, ads or footers.

Pages without readable content return {"error": "Unable to extract main content"} and are not billed. SeeErrors.

Markdown keeps headings, lists and links, so you can split it into chunks by heading for embeddings.
Use wordCount to skip thin pages before sending them to a model.
JavaScript-rendered pages are loaded in a real browser when needed.
